Zoon Meetings for Android

Version 0.2.0 · Android 13 or later

When a WhatsApp, Teams, Meet, Zoom or phone call connects, Zoon Meetings asks “Record this call?”. Tap Record and both sides of the call are transcribed, summarised and filed in your calendar, like the desktop app does.

Download for Android

Private beta: it signs in only to its own Zoon Meetings account. Updates are announced in the app.

  1. 1

    Download and open the APK

Tap Download on the phone, then open the file. If Samsung blocks it, turn off Auto Blocker (Settings → Security and privacy) for the install and turn it back on afterwards.

  2. 2

Follow the steps in the app

Sign in with Google, then allow the microphone and notifications, and turn on Notice calls and Record during calls. The app shows each step in order.

  3. 3

    Switch greyed out?

Android restricts these settings for apps installed outside the Play Store. Open App info, tap ⋮, choose Allow restricted settings, then try again.

  4. 4

Both sides of WhatsApp and other app calls

Install Shizuku from the Play Store. Turn on Developer options (Settings → About phone → Software information → tap Build number seven times), pair Shizuku once through Wireless debugging, then tap Start. In Zoon Meetings, tap Allow. The other person is then recorded too, on speaker or earbuds. After a restart, open Shizuku and tap Start again.

  5. 5

Phone calls with both sides (optional)

In Samsung's Phone app, turn on Settings → Record calls → Auto record calls, then tap Allow in Zoon Meetings. Calls you choose to record then upload Samsung's recording, which has both sides.
